HKN Boss, Davido has once again postponed the official release of his much-anticipated album ‘Baddest’ till later in September 2015.
The award-winning superstar has been delaying the release of his album for the past few moths for reason unknown to his fans.
He has already failed to unveil it twice after announcing dates.
The album was earlier scheduled to be released on
June 8, 2015 but it was postponed till August 10, 2015 and once again
it’s been moved
According to a news update sent by the management of
the artiste, they are allegedly trying to pt some finishing touches to
the album.
“We are aware that many may have been expecting
the album at an earlier date, though we were set to release the album
this month, the date has been moved. We are currently placing the
finishing touches on the album and we have some exciting news coming up
that will greatly benefit the album project.” The email read.
Another reason offered by Davido’s camp has been the
attention to detail and class, with a view to producing a world-class
body of work.
“Davido fans have been so loyal and consistent
throughout Davido’s career that he sincerely wants to deliver the best
body of work so as to express his gratitude. We have been working
non-stop to deliver an album of world-class standards; for this reason
it is paramount to release a well-executed album, to the best of our
ability.”
Some fans have actually stated with their conspiracy theories again, saying the artistes chose to reschedule only because Wizkid’s own album is set to drop in September too; therefore fueling the existent competition between the music duo.
‘Baddest’, Davido’s sophomore album contains a number
of stars guesting on it, including embattled US rapper, Meek Mill and
R&B singer Trey Songz.
