Rihanna Slams NBA Player Matt Barnes For Suggesting They Were Dating

TMZ acquired footage of the 35-year-old basketball star claiming that he and Rihanna are in the ‘crush stage,’ but the 27-year-old singer replied via Instagram to coldly claim otherwise.

RiRi posted a screenshot from the video of Barnes with a slew of strongly worded hashtags:

‘#bishwhere #thedevilisaliar #shesnotthatintoyou #shesnotintoyouatall #shesneverevenmetyou #thisactuallyhurtmyfeelings #defamationofcharacter,’ she wrote.

The entire debacle came after rumors surfaced that the two had gone on a couple dates but the singer seems to claim that they’ve never even met.

Matt was out playing softball at UCLA (his Alma Mater) on Saturday, which is where TMZ caught up with him for the interview.

‘Rihanna is my friend right now, so we’ll see where it goes,’ said the basketball star. ‘It just passed the crush stage a little bit.’
When asked whether long-distance would be an issue, to which he replied: ‘Nah, she’s rich. We’ll be all right.
