Super Eagles End 2015 On 66th Place In FIFA Ranking

Super Eagles suffered yet another painful fall in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday by the world football governing body.

The December drop, which is another worst in 2015, now places Nigeria at 66th place in the world from last month’s 59th place.

The 2013 African champions now shamefully occupy the 14th place in Africa, two places below their position in November.

Ivory Coast held on to the top spot on the continent, and now 19th in the world, as Algeria, Ghana and Cape Verde kept the top four places in Africa unchanged.
Tunisia is now the 5th placed team on the continent, displacing Senegal to the 6th spot.

Congo, Guinea, Egypt and Cameroon complete the top ten teams.
On the global scene, Belgium maintained the top spot to end the year on a positive note, while Argentina moved one step up to seat 2nd, leaving Spain to the 3rd spot, trailed by Germany who slipped two places to occupy the 4th place.

Chile occupies the 5th place and are trailed by Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, England and Austria to complete the top ten in the world.
