New Official Portrait Of Aisha Buhari Released

After the inauguration of her husband, a photo was circulated online and was tagged as the official portrait of Aisha.
The wristwatch which she wore in the photo has been a source of controversy with people making different claims about its value.

Seemingly that was not the official portrait as the presidency has released a new one.
The new photo will be used for official purposes by the presidency and its office.

During the electoral campaign Muhammadu Buhari said there was no official role for the president’s wife described in the main law of the country, and it was not mentioned in the Nigerian constitution.
Aisha Buhari reacted to this statement, saying that this fact would not stop her from doing her work: participating in various charity activities, visiting orphanages, caring for society’s downtrodden, etc.
However, she recently renounced the title of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying she preferred not to be addressed in this way.
