SUNSHINE STARS BACK TO SUMMIT

 



Lagos - A late winner from Kingsley Udoh helped Sunshine Stars back to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League as the Akure Gunners claimed a 2-1 victory over ten-man Warri Wolves on Thursday in Akure.
Stephen Eze cancelled out Ikechukwu Ibenegbu's early opener, only for Kingsley Udoh to grab the match winner in the 90th minute to ensure that the homers increased their points haul to 23 from a possible 36 after week 12 games.
Kano Pillars continued their title defence with an ultimately comfortable 4-1 win over clueless Giwa FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
Pillars made their hard work in the first half count as they were ahead in the 6th minute when Rabiu Ali converted a spot-kick.
